schumi was preganant at this moment. everyday for about 2hours, she would bask in the sun, always around the same time. on the clock.
schumi is a red-eared slider.
the fact that she’s pregnant, is very amusing, considering husband assumed she was a he. she’s about 5yrs old now. till a year ago she was a he. he started displaying certain strange behavioural changes. we googled. he’s a girl. husband refused to aknowledge that. i showed pictures of a male slider and a female slider to all his friends. female won hands down. still, husband shook his head, and said maybe…
well, in dec, we had to go away and left ‘him’ with friends who had a male and female red-eared sliders.
schumi came home pregnant. sadly eggs didn’t hatch. but, it’s official, he’s a girl!
